It appears that Travis Scott’s highly anticipated album, Utopia, is on its way. Recently, billboards have appeared in Los Angeles that seem to be connected to the rapper and hint at a possible release date of July 21st. It is unknown whether this date is for the entire album or just the first single.
There have been other clues about the upcoming Utopia album. Fans initially suspected that Scott had revealed the album’s name back in 2020 when he ended a social media post with the phrase, “See you in Utopia.” The emphasis on the capital U led to speculation about the album’s title.
However, Scott remained relatively quiet about any updates after the tragic incident at the Astroworld Festival in 2021. It wasn’t until recently that he started teasing the album again. Last year, he subtly referenced Utopia during a Nike ad campaign.
In 2023, Scott has been more active in building anticipation for the album. In mid-May, he held a special showcase where he previewed a collaboration with Bad Bunny. A fan on social media shared a snippet of the song playing, but it’s uncertain whether it will be included on the album.
Around the same time, Scott gave the Houston Astros an exclusive preview of Utopia during his appearance at their stadium. He expressed his intention to get the team pumped up before the game by playing the album for them. According to reporter Mark Berman, Scott said, “I had to come down and play Utopia for the boys in the locker room. I had to get them right for the game. Finished and mastered, Mark. You know how we do, Mark. from the clubhouse to the stu.”
Fans are eagerly awaiting more details about the Utopia project, and hopefully, they will be revealed next month.
