New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, a well-known fan of the Nike Air Force 1, has been gifted yet another special edition of the popular sneaker. This has become a tradition since his first team-inspired release back in 2014. The latest design features the Ultra Flyknit variation of the Air Force 1, with a color scheme that pays homage to the team’s pre-2000s uniform history. The shoe is primarily dressed in royal blue, accented with black and personalized logo hits and graphics. It also has ‘RKK’ (Robert Kenneth Kraft) lace deubrés as a unique touch.
In 2011, Kraft started wearing Air Force 1s to alleviate foot pain. After reaching out to Nike for their most comfortable shoe options, Kraft received pairs of the Lunar Force 1. Since then, he has been faithfully sporting different iterations of the Air Force 1 model.
The new “Patriots” Air Force 1 Ultra Flyknit Low, designed for Kraft, is expected to be released soon on nike.com for $160.
