Air Jordan 2 Low ‘UNC’ Release Date DV9956-104

Jordan Brand is ensuring that Air Jordan 2 Low fans will have plenty of opportunities to get their hands on a pair in 2023. Along with the recently revealed “Cherrywood” colorway, it seems that one of Michael Jordan’s Player Exclusive (PE) designs is hitting retail for the first time ever.

According to Instagram leaker @zSneakerheadz, the previously unreleased “UNC” Air Jordan 2 Low PE will be available to the public in July. Although no images of the upcoming release have been leaked yet, the leaker claims that the style will resemble the Jordan 2 Low that MJ wore during the Collegiate Legends Classic alumni game on June 28, 1987.

In a different Carolina Pro Alumni game in 1986, Jordan sported a high-top Air Jordan 2 with a UNC blue accent on the heel. This pair was finally released in 2017 as part of “The 2 That Started It All” pack, which also featured the Converse Fastbreak Mid.

Additionally, there’s a women’s “UNC to Chicago” colorway of the Jordan 2 Low expected to drop in March, which pays homage to Jordan’s journey from the University of North Carolina to the Chicago Bulls.

Release details for the “UNC” Air Jordan 2 Low have yet to be announced by Jordan Brand, but this PE-inspired style is set to release on July 22 for $150. Stay tuned to Sole Collector for updates.

UPDATE (06/16): Official images of the “UNC” Air Jordan 2 Low have been uploaded on the backend of Nike’s website. Current information suggests that the sneaker will release on July 22 for $150.
