Southside recently spoke to TMZ and revealed that Business Is Business was put together quickly. When asked about the album’s timeline, he said, “A short time, a week, two weeks. You know we move quick. We work real fast. Shout out to Metro.”

Southside and Metro Boomin co-produced the track “Hoodie” featuring BSlime and Lil Gotit on Business Is Business. The album’s Metro’s Version also includes bonus tracks not found on the original edition.

In a surprising reveal, Southside mentioned that Young Thug recorded some of his vocals for the album over the phone. The veteran producer expressed his hope that Thugger secures a No. 1 single from Business Is Business.

Industry forecasters predict that Young Thug’s Business Is Business will debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart, with an estimated 88,000 units in its first week. If this holds true, it will mark the Atlanta rapper’s eighth Top 10 entry.

Young Thug has previously reached No. 1 on three different occasions. His solo albums So Much Fun in 2019 and Punk in 2021 each spent one week atop the chart. The Slime Language 2 compilation from YSL Records also held the No. 1 spot for a week.

Business Is Business features guest appearances by Drake, Future, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, and others. The extended Metro Boomin version of the album also includes contributions from Nicki Minaj and the late Juice Wrld.
